Your privacy

Cookies and similar technologies

What these technologies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored in your browser. Local storage and similar technologies can also remember preferences or recognise visitors. A service can process information without using cookies. This notice covers the optional services and essential storage used on this website. See our privacy policy for information about A&G Insurance and personal data.

Essential services and your saved choice

Website delivery, security checks and submission rate limiting support the operation and protection of our services. Cloudflare may use security cookies depending on the protection configured, including a clearance cookie when pre-clearance is enabled.

We store your selection in this browser under ag-privacy-preferences using local storage. It contains the selected categories, notice version and time saved, with no name or email. We treat it as valid for 180 days. Local storage has no automatic browser expiry: after that period our website ignores the old choice and asks again.

Optional audience analytics

Vercel Web Analytics measures how the website is used. Vercel describes its analytics as using request-derived identifiers rather than traditional tracking cookies, with visitor sessions discarded after 24 hours. We nevertheless ask for your permission before enabling it. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.

Optional live chat

Tawk.to loads only when you allow live chat. It may use cookies and local or session storage to maintain conversations and recognise returning visitors. Its documented identifiers include twk_idm_key, TawkConnectionTime and property-specific visitor identifiers. Provider-reported durations vary from the browser session to six months for a visitor identifier. Actual names and behaviour can vary with provider settings and browser restrictions. See Tawk.to’s storage inventory.

Optional embedded Google Maps

We display a placeholder until you allow Google Maps. Loading the map connects your browser to Google, which receives technical request information and may use cookies depending on your browser and Google settings. See Google’s cookie information. You can use the external directions link without enabling the embedded map; opening that link takes you to Google.

Manage or withdraw your choices

lets you accept or reject each optional category. Optional choices start switched off. Rejecting them does not prevent our core forms or contact details from working.

Turning off previously loaded analytics or chat reloads this page to stop their scripts. The settings panel warns you before saving; finish or copy unsent form entries first. A change in another tab, or expiry of a saved choice, can also reload a page that has those scripts running.

Withdrawal stops future loading but does not erase past messages or data held by providers, or necessarily delete cookies and storage already set. You can clear existing site data through your browser settings and contact us about personal data already submitted. Our site cannot directly remove third-party or HttpOnly cookies.

If browser storage is unavailable, new choices cannot be saved and optional services remain off by default. Clearing site storage removes your saved preferences and we ask again.
